About the Art

My experiences as an art educator, graphic designer, teaching artist, mother and culture seeker have all come together as I established my Art Studio in 2019. Themes of female identity, conflict and well-being underpin my artwork, whether it be a conceptual circle in a rectangle or a contemporary female figure in her underwear rolling in the grass. I am inspired by 60’s graphics, high key color, iconic art and pop culture imagery. I remix the analog with the digital and combine my affinity for photography and digital drawing with image transfers. Combining materials and images are an integral part of my painting process that adds depth and character unique to my work. And sometimes I just like to paint.
